Kimberley Walsh insisted that she hadn’t been told to keep quiet about any Cheryl baby news at the Pride of Britain Awards on Monday night.
The former Girls Aloud star, who is pregnant with her second child, looked stunning in a black and gold dress as she walked the red carpet.
Speaking to Mirror Celeb, she said: “It’s such a lovely event to come to, I try and come as often as I can, even when very pregnant.
“There are always so many amazing stories, it’s one of those that you really want to be at. It’s always quite emotional. I’m already emotional, it’s going to be waterworks central!
“I’ve got tissues at the ready so hopefully I’ll get through it.”
Asked about Cheryl’s pregnancy rumours, she said: “It’s not that I’m not allowed [to talk about it]. It’s just that she’s my best friend. I don’t want to talk about her … anyway.”
Kimberley stunned at the awards with her floor-length gown, £195, which is from Forever Unique and showed off the 34-year-old star’s gorgeous figure. She showed off a hint of cleavage with the cut-out detailing and accessorised with a fan clutch.
Her hair tumbled around her shoulders in loose waves and she went for big lashes and matte brown lips – one of this season’s hottest shades.
The Girls Aloud singer revealed she’s expecting her second child with husband Justin Scott back in June.
The couple wed in January this year with an intimate ceremony in Barbados, with bandmates Cheryl and Nicola Roberts as bridesmaids.
Her pal Cheryl was unable to accompany her on the red carpet this evening, tweeting to explain why she was missing this year’s awards.
The Northern beauty, 33, was this week papped wearing a black tracksuit over what looked like a expectant belly, but has yet to confirm or deny the rumours.
She tweeted to explain she was going to miss the awards show, admitting she was “gutted” about it.
Singer Olly Murs also spoke about the rumours Cheryl and Liam are expecting their first child together.
The Army Of Two hitmaker said that the couple will come out and tell everyone when they “feel confident”.
He said: “Honestly listen, it’s Cheryl and Liam’s business.. all the press are making speculation and rumours, but I’m sure when they feel confident and want to come out and tell everyone they will. It’s their own business and I’m sure they’ll be fantastic parents if they are, so I wish them all the best.”
