Jeremy McConnell has said that he will NEVER get back with his pregnant ex-girlfriend Stephanie Davis as he demanded a paternity test.
The pair fell in love on Celebrity Big Brother last year but then cut all ties after a bitter split.
The Irish hunk, who doesn’t believe he’s the father of Steph’s unborn baby, has reportedly been trying to heal their rift – by deleting all negative posts about the brunette beauty while she was in hospital battling a mystery illness.
But Jeremy has denied that he’s fighting to win his ex back, saying it’s “all rumours”.
He told Mirror Celeb: “I will never be getting back with her, to clarify what I’ve said for months.”
He also said that he’s “definitely getting a paternity test”.
Some of Steph’s friends had been worried that the model would attempt to waltz back into her life when the baby is born early next year.
But there’s no chance of that as far as Jeremy is concerned.
A source told Closer Magazine that former Hollyoaks star Steph has been through a lot and is finally in a good place.
“She’s had no contact with Jeremy since the break-up and was devastated when the relationship ended,” they said. “For a while, she had hoped they’d get back together.
“The way Jeremy has so drastically changed his behaviour has now sparked panic among Steph’s family and friends.
“As the baby’s due date approaches, it looks like he’s trying to get things in motion to start speaking again when she’s feeling at her most vulnerable – although there’s been no contact between them yet.”
But Jez assures us that he isn’t trying to get back with the 23-year-old actress and doesn’t want a relationship with her.
Steph was rushed into accident and emergency last Wednesday after being struck down with a mystery illness, and although the star was sent home on Monday, she was still not feeling “100 per cent” last week.
Speaking about her well-being on her column with OK! Online, which was published on Wednesday, she wrote: “Hi guys, Thank you all so much for all your well wishes – and I’m sorry I haven’t been able to update the blog for a while.
“I am still a little under the weather, but when I’m feeling 100 per cent, I’ll be back updating you with the latest from me and bump!”
